Dignity. Shelter. Hope - A Home for the Forgotten

પ્રેમથી મોટો કોઈ ધર્મ નથી, અને દાનથી મોટું કોઈ કર્મ નથી

Who We Are

Jay Ambe Mandbuddhi Mahila Samaj Seva Trust is a sanctuary for mentally challenged, abandoned, and neglected women and men.

What began as a heartfelt response to a single helpless girl at a bus station has now grown into a divine mission — to protect those whom society has forgotten. Established in 2010 by Shri Ashokbhai Jain and inspired by the compassion of his late mother Jamanaben Patel, the Ashram has become a home filled with love, dignity, and care.

With no government funding and only the support of kind-hearted donors, the Ashram has become a lifeline for over 500 women and 40 men, offering them shelter, nutritious food, medical care, and above all — human warmth. The Trust is registered and recognized, with its efforts even appreciated by the Chief Minister and Governor of Gujarat. Here, every soul is family, and every moment is a step toward healing and hope.

What We Do

01.

— Rescue & Shelter

We rescue mentally challenged and abandoned individuals from streets and stations. They are brought to the Ashram where they receive immediate care.
We offer them a safe place to call home.

02.

— Medical Treatment

Many residents arrive in serious health conditions. We arrange surgeries, treatment, and hygiene care. Over 13 critical operations have been done free of cost.

03.

— Family Reunification

We attempt to trace their families across India. With divine grace, many women have been reunited. This is our greatest success — healing broken ties.

04.

— Festive Celebrations

We celebrate festivals like Janmashtami, Diwali, Navratri, and Holi. This brings joy and normalcy to our residents’ lives. Every celebration is shared with donors and volunteers.

05.

— Dignified Living

Residents receive clean clothes, regular meals, and emotional warmth. Even the worst physical conditions are treated with dignity. We treat every soul as part of our own family.

06.

— Community Support

People donate food, celebrate birthdays, or support on special days. We encourage families to visit and serve the residents. This builds a bridge of compassion in society.

Impact Stories

From Darkness to Dignity

A 25-year-old mentally challenged girl was found near the bus stand, disrobed and abused. Society rejected her — but we didn’t. We rescued her, clothed her, fed her, and gave her a new name. Today, she smiles and participates in every celebration, holding a plate, not shame.

Reunited After 10 Years

One of our residents was reunited with her family in Maharashtra after 10 years of separation. With help from local police and emotional clues, we traced her roots. The tears of her parents and the embrace of lost bonds proved — our mission has meaning.
